Hirakud Dam ( Asia's longest )
The Hirakud Dam is a composite structure of earth, concrete and masonry. 10 km (6 mi) north of Sambalpur, it is the longest major earthen dam in Asia, measuring 25.8 km (16 mi) including dykes, and stands across the river Mahanadi.

Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar November 14, 1542-October 27, 1605 1556-1605 Akbar greatly expanded the Empire and is regarded as the most illustrious ruler of the Mughal Dynasty as he set up the empire’s various institutions; he married Mariam-uz-Zamani, a Rajput princess. He eventually founded Din-i-Ilahi, a syncretic religion based on Hinduism and Islam.

His conquests expanded the empire to its greatest extent, incorporating much of southern India; the over-stretched empire would face challenges after his death.

Vivek Express विवेक एक्सप्रेस ( India's longest )
to be held in 2013. One of the Vivek Express trains, the one from Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari; is the longest route on the Indian Railways network, in terms of distance and time, and is the 9th longest in the world.
This weekly train, numbered 15905/15906, is currently the longest train route in the Indian Subcontinent. It joins Dibrugarh in Assam, North-East India to Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu which is the southernmost tip of Mainland India. It covers a total of 4273 km from Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari.

Rajasthan (/ˈrɑːdʒəstæn/ Hindustani pronunciation: [raːdʒəsˈt̪ʰaːn]; literally, "Land of Kings")[3] is India's largest state by area (342,239 square kilometres (132,139 sq mi) or 10.4% of India's total area). It is located on the western side of the country, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert (also known as the "Rajasthan Desert" and "Great Indian Desert") and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab to the northwest and Sindh to the west, along the Sutlej-Indus river valley.

GREAT ASHOK Empire अशोक महान साम्राज्य
अशोक महान का पूरा नाम देवानांप्रिय अशोक मौर्य (राजा प्रियदर्शी देवताओं का प्रिय)। (राजकाल ईसापूर्व 273-232) प्राचीन भारत में मौर्य राजवंश का चक्रवर्ती राजा था। उसके समय मौर्य राज्य उत्तर में हिन्दुकुश की श्रेणियों से लेकर दक्षिण में गोदावरी नदी के दक्षिण तथा मैसूर तक तथा पूर्व में बंगाल से पश्चिम में अफ़गानिस्तान तक पहुँच गया था। यह उस समय तक का सबसे बड़ा भारतीय साम्राज्य था। सम्राट अशोक को अपने विस्तृत साम्राज्य से बेहतर कुशल प्रशासन तथा बौद्ध धर्म के प्रचार के लिए जाना जाता है।

The Indian economy expanded 7.3 percent year-on-year in the last three months of 2015, slowing from an upwardly revised 7.7 percent growth in the previous quarter but in line with market expectations. The manufacturing sector surged 12.6 percent while farm output shrank 1 percent. GDP Annual Growth Rate in India averaged 6.04 percent from 1951 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 11.40 percent in the first quarter of 2010 and a record low of -5.20 percent in the fourth quarter of 1979. GDP Annual Growth Rate in India is reported by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI).
